Community rules

Last updated: 31 October 2026

Motion Hub is where people share the scenes they make. These rules keep it a place people want to open. They're part of the Terms.

Everything you publish (scenes, their pictures, titles, descriptions and tags, collections, comments and your profile) keeps to them. Moderators cite them by number.

The rules

  1. Yours to share. You made it, or you have permission for every part, credited under Work by others on the Publish page's Licence card. Respect copyright and trademarks. Fonts, music, pictures and models by other people are fine when their licence lets you, and so is a remix of a scene whose licence allows remixes (Motion Hub credits it for you). Someone else's artwork, a film's footage or a company's logo, put up as your own, isn't.
  2. Nothing that exploits minors. No sexual content involving minors, including drawn, animated or generated characters who look under 18.
  3. Adult content is rated and consensual. Art nudes and figure studies with nothing sexual about them are fine rated Mature, and sexual scenes are fine rated Explicit. Everyone shown must be an adult who consented, so intimate pictures shared without consent, sexual pictures of a real, identifiable person who didn't agree to them, and sexual violence aren't allowed at any rating.
  4. No hate or harassment. Disagreeing, and criticising a scene, are fine. Slurs, attacks on people for their race, religion, nationality, disability, sex, gender or sexuality, threats, targeting someone and piling on aren't.
  5. Violence is rated, never celebrated. Storms, battles, horror atmosphere and dark themes are fine, rated as they need: Everyone for a battle with no blood, Mature for strong violence, Explicit for graphic gore. Propaganda for terrorist or violent extremist groups, and anything that encourages self-harm or suicide, isn't allowed at all.
  6. Warn about flashing. Fast flashes and strobes are fine with Has fast flashes turned on, so people who are sensitive to them are warned before it plays. Turn it on when in doubt.
  7. Honest code. Scripts and web pages that do what the scene's page says are fine, and so are scenes that reach websites or read sensors, as Motion asks people first. Malware isn't: code that hides what it does, steals data, mines crypto, attacks other systems or tries to get out of Motion's sandbox.
  8. Honest page. The title, preview, description and tags match the scene, and previews are made from the scene itself. Turn on Made with AI when most of a scene's pictures, models or sounds were made with generative AI. AI tools used along the way, such as upscaling, don't count.
  9. No spam, scams or impersonation. No adverts, links to scams, the same scene published again and again, tags that don't fit, or pretending to be another person, maker or company.
  10. No one else's personal details. Addresses, phone numbers, private messages and photos of private people stay private, even when they can be found elsewhere.
  11. Nothing illegal. Nothing that's illegal where you are, or under the law of South Carolina and of the United States, which Motion Hub follows.

Ratings

Every scene is rated Everyone, Mature or Explicit, and can say Has fast flashes and Made with AI. The maker chooses when publishing, and moderators can change the rating. Explicit scenes are always opt-in: nobody sees them unless they've turned them on. Content ratings says what each covers and how people choose what they see.

Reporting something

Use Report beside any scene or comment, and say which rule it breaks. If you don't have an account, or you think it's illegal, use the report form at hub.motionlive.io/report, or write to [email protected]. For copyright, the Terms say what a notice needs.

We confirm we've got it, a moderator looks at it, and we tell you what they decided. We don't tell the maker who reported them, except for copyright notices.

What happens then

Moderators are people, and nothing is decided automatically. They may leave something, ask its maker to change it, hide it while they look, change its rating, take it down, remove a comment, or suspend or close an account, which can end its licence to use Motion with no refund. Each time, its maker is told what was decided, which rule, and why. If you break these terms or the rules in the Terms says what can happen.

Every decision about you is at hub.motionlive.io/appeals. Appealing is free, within 6 months: say what's wrong, with links or pictures if they help. A moderator who didn't make the decision looks at it, may ask you for more, and tells you the outcome and why, usually within 14 days. If it stands, you can ask once for a further review by another moderator. Undoing a decision puts back the scene, its rating, the comment or the account, and copies people downloaded play again. Closing an account under rule 2 can't be appealed. Moderation in the Terms has the details.
